The Ultrashort-Pulse Laser Laboratory at the University of Arizona is located in labs #666 an #668 at the College of Optical Sciences - Meinel Building. Research in the laboratory focuses on the experimental studies of ionization of matter by high-power lasers, extreme nonlinear-optic interactions and laser-induced material modifications, as well as on the development of new sources of ultrashort laser pulses. The lab is a member of the University of Arizona Center for Directed Energy (https://www.directedenergy.arizona.edu) and conducts collaborative research with Arizona Research Center for Hypersonics (https://www.hypersonics.arizona.edu).
